Juan José Palacios, conocido con cariño como "Papa Juan" y con respeto como "Don Palacios," nació el 21 de marzo de 1929 en La Democracia, Escuintla, Guatemala, hijo de Candelaria Gálvez y Víctor Palacios. Partió para estar con el Señor el 11 de junio de 2026, a los 97 años, rodeado del amor de su familia.
Vivió casi un siglo como un hombre noble, generoso y de profunda fe. Siempre tuvo la mesa abierta y la mano dispuesta a ayudar al necesitado, dejando un ejemplo de amor para toda su familia. Creyó en Jesucristo, y es en esa fe que los suyos encuentran consuelo y esperanza.
Le precedió en la muerte su amada esposa, Consuelo, con quien compartió 67 años de matrimonio, y sus hijos Rolando, José Lenin, Bladimiro y Sergio. Le sobreviven sus hijos Norma, Hugo, Ruby, Edwin, Gundemaro, Juan y Gustavo, así como sus muchos nietos, bisnietos, familiares y amigos que lo recordarán con cariño.
La familia recibirá a familiares y amigos en la velación el sábado 13 de junio de 2026, de 3:00 a 5:00 p.m., con un servicio fúnebre a las 3:30 p.m., en Jeter & Son Funeral Home, Dallas Chapel (4830 W. Illinois Ave, Dallas, TX 75211). El sepelio será el lunes 15 de junio de 2026 a las 10:00 a.m. en el Cementerio Mountain Creek.

Juan José Palacios, known lovingly as "Papa Juan" and respectfully as "Don Palacios," was born on March 21, 1929, in La Democracia, Escuintla, Guatemala, the son of Candelaria Gálvez and Víctor Palacios. He went to be with the Lord on June 11, 2026, at the age of 97, surrounded by the love of his family.
He lived nearly a century as a noble, generous man of deep faith. His table was always open and his hand always ready to help those in need, leaving a legacy of love for his entire family. He believed in Jesus Christ, and it is in that faith that his loved ones find comfort and hope.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Consuelo, with whom he shared 67 years of marriage, and by his children Rolando, José Lenin, Bladimiro, and Sergio. He is survived by his children Norma, Hugo, Ruby, Edwin, Gundemaro, Juan, and Gustavo, as well as his many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, family members, and friends who will remember him with love.
The family will receive relatives and friends for visitation on Saturday, June 13, 2026, from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m., with a funeral service at 3:30 p.m., at Jeter & Son Funeral Home, Dallas Chapel (4830 W. Illinois Ave, Dallas, TX 75211). Burial will take place on Monday, June 15, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Mountain Creek Cemetery.
His memory will live forever in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
