Joyce McDaniel

McDaniel, Joyce transitioned to her heavenly home on November 5, 2022.  Born May 18, 1936 in Dallas, TX to J.C. & Ruth Durham Buchannon.  After double promotion twice, she was a 1953 graduate of Crozier Tech High School.  She was married to the love of her life, Richard Lee Bedell July 14, 1954 until his death November 7, 1978.  Joyce continued her role as a homemaker and a devoted mother to their two children.  She faithfully served her Lord in music ministry as pianist in several Dallas area churches; also, teaching piano in her home.

Later, while serving in the church choir at her home church, Calvary Temple in Irving, she was discovered by an amazing gentlemen, also in the choir, George McDaniel.  They fell in love and were married January 15, 1983.  They enjoyed several wonderful years of marriage until his death, November 27, 1991.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Jack & Ruth Buchannon; Husband, Richard Lee Bedell; Infant Sons, Timothy Ray & Richard Lee Bedell, Jr.; and Husband, George McDaniel.

She is survived by Daughters, Darla Lansford (Mike); Son, Robert Micah Bedell; Grandson, Christopher Compton (Jennifer); Great-Granddaughters, Madison & Macy Compton; Sister, Linda Galvan (Joe).
