Obituary

Jovita M. Rodriguez

January 8, 1939 - February 1, 2023

Our beloved mother Jovita M. Rodriguez passed away on February 1, 2023 to join God in her new life. Our loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother lived in Dallas, TX for many years.

Our beautiful Mom loved many things in life but nothing as much as using her hands either to crochet blankets or make decorative items for her kitchen. Everyone loved to visit Mom for a taste of her famous flour tortillas and enchiladas. Most of all her gardening was her most sacred past time next to talking to her parakeets, watching Elvis Presley movies.

Born to J. Cruz Meza and Maria (Rico) in Fresnillo, Zacatecas (Mexico). She is preceded in death by her husband Theodore V. Rodriguez, sister-in-law's Amparo, Consuelo, Esperanza and her grandson J.J.

She was blessed with six children: Mary, Laura, Theodore Jr. William, Linda and Jesse. As well as her loving sons-in-law: Paul, Gary, and daughter-in-law: Debbie. She adored her grandchildren: Chris (Veronica), Matt (Heather), Lisa (Marc), Monica (Leo), D.J., Jeremy, and Teddy. And continues her legacy through her great grandchildren: Allie, Adrian, Lillee, Isaac, Lucia, Reagan, Ana, Joe , Xavier, and Rya.

Our family appreciates brother-in-law Phillip Rodriguez, 2 nieces and 6 nephews. Finally, we would like to also thank Olivia, Antonio, Martha, George, Lupe, Rigo Castillo, Bertha C, Margarita and Tila for all their love and support.

Our Mom was the rock of our family, and we will forever love and miss her.

Pallbearers:

Chris, Matt, D.J., Adrian, Isaac, Rey and Paul
