Jose Juan Ruiz, Sr.

December 12, 1947 - September 8, 2022

Jose J. Ruiz, Sr., a proud veteran of the United State Army, passed away at the age of 74.

Jose was born in Corpus Christi, Texas to Jose and Guadalupe Ruiz on December 12, 1947, his home town was Aransas Pass, Texas. On July 26, 1967, he married his lovely wife Esperanza Garza. At the age of 20, Jose enlisted into the Army. He valued this service highly and attained the rank of E-4. After Jose's tour and Honorable discharge, Jose and Esperanza moved to Dallas, Texas and started a family. They had two children, Rebecca and Jose Jr. (J.J.). From that moment forward started a new chapter.

Jose was preceded in death by his parents, Jose and Guadalupe Ruiz of Aransas Pass, Texas; brother, Ernesto Ruiz of Rock Port, Texas, and brother-in-law, Antonio (Tony) Sanchez of Aransas Pass, Texas. He is survived by: his wife of 55 years Esperanza (Patty) Ruiz; two children: Rebecca of Mesquite, Texas and J.J. of Dallas, Texas; three grandchildren: Vanessa of Cedar Hill, Texas, Gabriela of Kaufman,Texas, and Eloisa of Mesquite, Texas; eight loving great-grandchildren, and many more cherished family members and friends.

Jose will be remembered for his hard-work and dedication to his family. His BOMB breakfast, hugs, his pranks on his wife, and never ending love and devotion.
