Jose Martiniano Rios Serrato

Jose Martiniano Rios Serrato, 72, passed away on October 6, 2026, in Dallas, Texas. He was born on January 10, 1954, in San Luis Potosí, Mexico.

Jose found happiness in life’s simple pleasures. He enjoyed gardening, tending to his flowers, and working in his yard. He adored his two dogs, Toby and Morena, and enjoyed dining out and peaceful moments. His memory will be cherished by the family and friends who loved him.

Jose is survived by his beloved wife of 50 years, Jessie Rios; his sons, Wenzi Rios, Marshal Lara, Thomas Wright, and Jesse Joe Wright and his wife, Beatrice Wright; and his daughters, Paula Wright and her husband, Anselmo Esparza, Diana Gomez and her husband, Luis Gomez, and Yolanda Martinez.

He is also survived by his sisters, Martha Estrada and her husband, Marcelo Estrada and their 5 children, Teresa Rios and her husband, Damian Castillo and their 3 children, San Juana Anton and her husband, Manuel Anton and their 3 children, Esperanza Rios and her husband, Jubensio Santos and their 3 children, Beatriz Estrada and her spouse, Rosalio Estrada and their 3 children, and Maria Luisa Rios and her husband, Silvano Zavala and their 9 children; and his brothers, Jose Rios and his wife, Francisca Rios and their 6 children, Francisco Rios and his wife, Hilda Rios and their 3 children, Juan Antonio Rios and his wife Alicia Rios, and their 4 children, and Jose Marcos Rios and his wife, Maribel Torres and their 3 children. He leaves behind 19 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, and many other cherished family members and friends.

Visitation will be held at Jeter & Son Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 14, 2026, from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m., with a rosary at 4:30 p.m. The funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, October 15, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. A committal service will follow at Oakland Cemetery in Dallas, Texas.
