Jose was born to parents Leopoldo Alvarez and Paula Mendoza on September 3, 1951, in Hidalgo Tamaulipas, Mexico.  He finished school and received his PhD in Education and Psychology in Mexico. Jose, met his wife in Elementary School and were married on September 8, 1973.  He was a die hard fan of the Dallas Cowboys and Tigres de Monterrey. He passed away on December 12, 2024, surrounded by his family. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Jose is preceded in death by his parents Leopoldo Alvarez, and Paula Mendoza.

He is survived by wife Juana I De La Fuente de Alvarez his three children Abigail Alvarez, Oswaldo Alvarez, daughter-in-law Rachel Alvarez, Jennifer Alvarez and son-in-law Antonio Ramirez and his two grand boys Sebastian and Armando Ramirez.

Visitation will be on Monday December 16, 2024 from 3:00 - 7:00PM with a Rosary at 5:30PM at

Jeter & Son Chapel, 4830 W. Illinois Ave, Dallas, Texas.

He will be laid to rest at a graveside service Tuesday December 17, 2024, at 11AM at

Grand Prairie Memorial Gardens, 3001 S Belt Line Rd, Grand Prairie, Texas.
