Dallas, TX – Joanne Grace King, 77, died peacefully after a short battle with pneumonia, on May 22, 2022, in Dallas with her daughters by her side.

Joanne was born on October 8, 1944 in Chicago, Illinois.  Her family moved to Dallas when she was eight years old.  She graduated from Sunset High School in Dallas and her career included positions in the insurance industry, Panasonic, Dallas Waste Management, an orthopedic surgery office, Sterling's Jewelry, and the Heart Center, at her beloved Baylor Hospital.

She attended First Baptist Church of Dallas and was a part of the Believer's Bible Class.

Predeceased by her parents Joseph John Miller and Permelia Ellen Gibbons Miller,and her sister, Marilyn Berniece Harrison; Joanne is survived by her children, Patricia Ann Martell and husband Stephen, and Carolyn Marie Miller and husband Christopher; her grandchildren, Hunter, Andrew & Tanner Martell, and Blake & Brett Miller. She will be missed by many other relatives and friends.

A celebration of Joanne's life will be held at the Jeter and Son Funeral Home on Saturday, May 28th at 10 AM.
