Jesus Z. Niño, Jr.

May 20, 1947 - June 6, 2023

Jesus Zerda Nino II was born on May 20, 1947 in Encinal, Texas to Jacinta De la Cerda and Jesus Nino. Jesus graduated from Cotulla High School then was drafted in the army where he served in Vietnam. After his service, Jesus went on to receive an Associates Degree in Psychology from El Centro College in Dallas, Texas. After graduating from college he landed a job as an electrician's helper with Dallas Power & Light Company which is now known as TXU. He retired from TXU as a foreman after 30 years. While retired, he focused on his love for music and formed a conjunto band with his close friends frequenting the entertainment scene in the Dallas/Ft. Worth metroplex. Jesus loved crossword puzzles, Oldies and Tejano music.

He is survived by his brother Agapito Nino, sisters Janet Nino Schneider and Armandina Alonzo. He also leaves to cherish his memory his children, Linda Gonzales Castillo, spouse Israel Castillo, Ida Gonzales Dean, spouse Rene Bjorn Dean, Araceli Jacinta Parras, Amanda Parras Rivas, spouse Richard Rivas, Cynthia Lynette Nino, spouse Jose Lara Jr., Jesus Nino III, Jessica Nino; 18 grandchildren, 39 great grandchildren, 1 great, great grand child and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews and a host of loving friends.

Visitation will be held from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM with a Rosary Service at 4:00 PM, Saturday, June 10, 2023 at Jeter and Son Funeral Home.

Funeral Service will be at 10:00 AM, Monday, June 19, 2023 at the funeral home. Military Honors and Interment will follow at Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery.
