Jesus, (Jesse) Perales Garza

September 6, 1936 – March 20, 2026

Jesse passed away peacefully on Friday, March 20, 2026, at the Veteran Administration Hospice Medical Hospital. He was born and raised in Floresville, Texas. Every spring, as a child, he would travel with his parents, migrant farm workers to Montana and back. Jesse was an upholsterer, by profession, thoroughly enjoying helping people with their furniture and low-rider upholstery cars, while living in Arizona.

Jesse served in United State Air Force during the Korean War. During this time he was a boxer in the sparring ring and held top secret security clearance to complete his duties.

In his later years, Jesse thoroughly enjoyed life in Dallas living at Tyler Street Towers, attending Sunday School and singing in the choir at Casa Emanu-El United Methodist Church, and spending time with his brother, Trini Garza & family. Jesse loved winning at dominos and reading the bible.

Jesse was preceded in death by his parents Gabriel and Carmen Perales Garza. He was preceded in death by sons: William Garza, Jesse Gabriel Garza, & Juan Francisco Garza. Jesse is survived by daughters: Carmen Garza, Isabelle Prugh & Irene Hermosillo. He is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, including his granddaughter, Jessica Garza.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 11th from 10am-12pm, at Jeter & Son Funeral Home, Dallas, TX

Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, April 11th at 12noon, at Jeter & Son Funeral Home, Dallas, TX

Military Honors and Internment will be held on Monday, April 13th, at 11:30am, at the Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery
