Obituary

Jeremy David Sappington of Lancaster, Texas, born on June 23, 1982 at Medical City of Dallas, passed away on Tuesday August, 9, 2022, at the age of 40.

Jeremy attended Lancaster High School, Class of 2000. He played football for the Lancaster Tigers as tackle, offense, and defense and played as a defender on the soccer team. Jeremy had a love for sports as he cheered for his favorite football team, the Dallas Cowboys. After graduating, he partook on a 2 year Mission to serve in Portland, Oregon for The Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter-Day Saints. Jeremy was passionate about his faith and very active in his church. He loved gathering genealogy information and doing the lords work that was called upon him. Jeremy worked for Conns Warehouse for several years until his health declined. However, Jeremy's health never stopped him from achieving his goals. Jeremy was a compassionate soul with a huge heart and would help anyone in need without hesitation. Jeremy loved his family dearly.

Jeremy was preceded in death by his Grandmother Frances Honeycutt, GrandfatherWilliam Sappington,  Grandmother Wanda Sappington, Aunt Glenda Dow, Uncle David Chapman, Uncle Wayne Rousseau, and cousin Taylor Tomberlin. He also reunited with many other beloved family members as he rejoices in heaven.

Jeremy was survived by his Daughter Alison Sappington.

He is survived by his Mother Rhonda Shirley, and husband William, of Rice, TX; Father David Sappington, and wife Patricia of Waco; Brother Joshua Sappington and wife Tiffany of Fort Worth, Texas; Sister, Meredith Sappington of Miami, Florida; Sister Laura Sappington and Step Sister Amanda Dishner and husband George of Austin, Texas. He is also survived by his Aunt Joyce Rousseau of Lancaster, Texas; Uncle Jeff Chapman and Wife Bobbie of Oklahoma, and his Uncle Ocey Dow of Mineral Wells. Jeremy had 3 nieces, Chelsea and Jaidynn Sappington and Lydia Dishner. Jeremy had many cousins who he loved dearly, along with all the friends that came into his life, which he also called family.

Services will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints at 1019 Big Stone Gap, Duncanville, TX, 75137. Visitation 10:00 AM Wednesday, August 17th, 2022. Funeral immediately following at 11:00am.

He will be laid to rest at Little Bethel Park at 1803 Ceder Hill Rd, Duncanville, TX, 75137, following the service.
