Jammie Earl Hinson, Sr. was born on February 12, 1972, in Dermott, Arkansas to Oliver Donnell Hinson and Olevia Parker. Jammie attended the Dermott School District until his family moved to Dallas, Texas in the summer of 1988, where he graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1991. Jammie was a man of few words―with a soft voice. He always made you laugh with his jokes and good sense of humor. Jammie had a magnetic personality that instantly drew young and old to him.
After high school, he joined the United States Army and later met the love of his life Katina Renae Gregory, and they married on November 14,1995. To this union 3 children were born; Paris LeJai, Olevia Kiara and Jammie Earl, Jr. Jammie dedicated his life to Jehovah on December 23, 2006, as one of Jehovah's Witnesses. His greatest joy was his ministry, where he loved helping others to learn about Jehovah. Jammie believed all parts of Jehovah's service was a blessing and privilege. He was most fond of the door-to-door ministry. He had the privilege of serving as a Ministerial Servant for many years and was recently appointed as Elder. Jammie fell asleep in death on October 8th, 2023. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Olevia Kiara, his father Oliver Donnell Hinson, Sr., his grandparents, Willie and Annie Joe Hinson, stepfather James Taylor and stepsister La Tusha Trusty.
Jammie leaves to cherish his memories his loving and caring wife; Katina Renae, 2 children: Paris LeJai Hinson and Jammie Earl Hinson, Jr; both of Dallas, TX; his mother, Olevia Taylor, Dallas TX; Grandmother, Emma Jackson of Dermott, AR; 4 Siblings, Corey Donell Parker (Lana) Wylie, TX; Felicia Ann Hinson Spurlock (Keith) Lancaster, TX; Oliver Donell Hinson, Jr., Dallas, TX, and Calvin Dewayne Hinson, Dallas, TX; 1 stepsister, La Tunya Mahadeo, Richmond TX, and 1 stepbrother James Taylor, Jr. (Shirley), Manvel, TX. Jammie also leaves to cherish his memories: 5 Aunts, 5 Uncles, 4 Nieces, 6 nephews,4 great-nephews, 4 great-nieces, and a host of cousins and friends who will miss him dearly.
There will be a Memorial visitation on Friday, October 20th from 3-6pm at Jeter & Son Funeral Home in Dallas, Texas.
A Celebration of Life will be Saturday, at 2pm at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses. Located at 915 Nolte St. Dallas, TX 75208.
