James L Tate was born May 1, 1938 in Alba, Texas and passed away on December 30, 2022. He is preceded in death by his father: Percy L Tate, mother: Juanita P Jones, and sister: Patsy Sparks. James is survived by his beloved wife: Patsy R Tate, daughter: Sharon M Nulisch, son: Larry N Tate, son-in-law: Larry Nulisch, daughter-in-law: R Gay Tate, grandchildren: Brian L Nulisch and Marcus A Nulisch, great-grandchildren: Eli and Hannah Nulisch, niece: Janie Smith, nephew: Kenny Sparks and many great nieces and nephews.
James served his county in the army after the Korean War as an MP with a rank of PFC - T in the II Brigade, 12th Calvary. He was stationed in Korea. After James was honorably discharged, he met Patsy Hendley and they were married for 61 years.
His services will be at Jeter & Son Chapel, 4830 W. Illinois Ave, Dallas, Texas.
Visitation will begin at 9:30AM with the funeral at 10:30AM.
Burial will follow at Tyler Memorial Park, 12053 State Highway 64 West, Tyler, Texas.
