James Edward Sellars, age 84, passed away peacefully on January 24, 2026, in Dallas, Texas.

James was born on June 3, 1941, in Spartanburg, South Carolina, to Stella King and Gilbert Sellars. He lived a long life marked by resilience and quiet strength, and he will be remembered by all who knew him.

James was preceded in death by his parents; his spouse; one child; and eight siblings. He is survived by five children; one baby sister; thirteen grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

A visitation will be held on Monday, February 2, 2026, at 1:00 p.m., followed by a funeral service at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Jeter & Son Funeral Home, located at 4830 West Illinois Avenue, Dallas, Texas 75211.
