James Buford Bailey

March 21, 1930 - October 29, 2023

James Buford Bailey (a.k.a. Buford James Bailey) was born on March 21, 1930 in Calvin, OK to parents James A. Bailey and Ozella Brown.  James served in the United States Armed Forces during the Korean War and later worked as a Insurance Sales agent, while also working with the love of his life Ethel Bailey in a ministry in Oak Cliff, Texas.  Ethel and James were married over 50 years and resided in Dallas, Texas.

James passed away on October 29, 2023 in Dallas, Texas.  He will be missed by his friends far and wide.

He is preceded in death in by his wife Ethel Bailey.

He is survived by his sister-in-law Joy Bailey of Canton, TX and nephew Mike Bailey.  Also his very special friends, Alice Hathaway of Oak Leaf, TX and jeffery Raindly of Dallas, TX.

Special thanks to Jeffery for taking care of James' property while he was in the nursing home.

Services:

Visitation will be held on Wednesday November 8, 2023 from 1-6pm, with a prayer service at 4:30pm in the Jeter & Son Funeral Home chapel.

Graveside service will be held on Thursday November 9, 2023 at Crossroads Cemetery in Pittsburg, Texas.
