It is with great sadness that the family of Israel "Izzy" Zapata announces his peaceful passing on June 1, 2023 in Dallas, TX at the age of 51.  He was born on March 27, 1973 in McKinney, TX to Paula Garza and Viktor Zapata.

He was hard working with a down to earth personality and was loved by many.  He worked at Half Price Books for 26 years where he met his wife.  Izzy was a loving husband and dad who enjoyed bartending for the AT&T Stadium and the Lone Star Park for many years. He also enjoyed watching football, fishing, being surrounded with family, playing video games with his son, listening to music, cooking outdoors (we will miss his bbq) and having family over for breakfast. His family and friends will always remember him as a selfless person with a smile on his face.

He is survived by his wife Belia Zapata and son Isaiah Zapata, mother Paula Martinez, and 4 sisters Audrey Villa (Joel), Rachel Zapata (Rogelio), Linda Diaz (Tomas), Erica Martinez (Rene) and 1 brother Jaime Martinez (Gabby). Izzy was love and will be missed by all his nieces, nephews and cousins.
