Herman
Partida
May 12, 1946 — Jul 26, 2026
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Herman Partida, age 80, who entered into the presence of the Lord on July 26, 2026.
Herman was born on May 12, 1946, in Dallas, Texas, to Rafael and Salud Partida. Raised in the Ledbetter community, he grew up with the strong values that shaped a life defined by devotion and hard work.
Herman was a hardworking man. Whether on the job or at home, he tackled each day with determination and a tireless work ethic. His determination and commitment to succeed earned him the respect and admiration of everyone who knew him. He was a pillar of strength for his family, trying to lead by example and instill those values to his children.
Herman also knew how to enjoy some of the simple things in life. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, especially when everyone gathered together to share a good meal. He never lost his appreciation for good food and especially enjoyed hamburgers, Mexican food, and just about anything sweet. If there was sugar in the room, he was like a kid in a candy store—he simply couldn’t resist. Whether it was chocolate candy, a slice of cake, or a scoop of ice cream, Herman was always ready to enjoy dessert. He also loved hanging out in front of the television, watching anything from sports, action movies to classic Westerns. If nothing else, he’d always go back to his all-time favorite Walker, Texas Ranger, or as he would call it, “Walker”.
The countless hours spent sharing meals, laughing together, and simply sitting side by side watching television created memories that will forever be remembered and cherished by those who loved him.
Herman was preceded in death by his parents, Rafael and Salud Partida; his brother, Bobby Partida; and his granddaughter, Julie Ortiz.
He is survived by his 3 children, Louie (Priscilla) Partida, Stephanie (Gilbert) Ortiz, and Herman (Johanna) Partida Jr.; his 4 stepchildren, Phillip Martinez, Stephanie (Roy) Vasquez, Rachel Martinez, and Monica Martinez; 7 grandchildren, Erica, Marcella, Gilbert Jr., Jazlyn, Arianna, Gianna, and Lucianna; 13 step-grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister, Gloria Ortiz; his brothers, Rafael Partida Jr. and Joe Partida; as well as many beloved nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
Herman leaves behind a legacy of love, hard work, strong values, and perseverance that lives on in the hearts of those he touched. He will be deeply missed and his memory will be treasured forever.
