Obituary

With heavy hearts and deep love, we remember Guadalupe "Lupe" Valadez, born Guadalupe Liscano, who passed away peacefully on April 15, surrounded by the family she cherished so deeply. She was born on December 5, 1953, in Corpus Christi, Texas, to Pablo and Toribia C. Liscano.

Lupe is reunited in eternal rest with her beloved parents, her brother Pablo "Paul" Liscano Jr., and her son Isaac.
After graduating from Hereford High School, Lupe moved to Dallas, Texas in 1977, where she made her home in Oak Cliff—a place that became the center of her life, her work, and her family's story. She dedicated over 30 years as a property manager, but more than a career, she built connections, friendships, and a reputation for kindness that people will never forget.

At the center of Lupe's world was her family. She was the devoted wife of Albert, the love of her life and her constant companion. Their love was steady, deep, and unwavering—a partnership that carried them through every chapter of life, side by side, until her final breath.

She was a proud and loving mother to Irene, Mark Anthony, James Paul, Jessica Krystal, Adam, and Jessica. She also held a special place in her heart for her daughter-in-law Chola, whom she loved as her own and shared a beautiful, unbreakable bond with.

Lupe's greatest joy in life was being a grandmother. Her grandchildren—Paul, Andrew, Walter, Desiree, Felix, Maddie, Vinny, Ruben John, Julian, Joel, Adalina, Makalynn, Ledger, and Natasha—were the light of her life and the center of her heart. She loved each of them deeply and unconditionally, always making sure they felt special, cared for, and loved. Whether it was through her warm hugs, her laughter, her cooking, or simply spending time together, she created memories they will carry with them forever. To them, she wasn't just Grandma—she was comfort, joy, and home. Her great-granddaughter, Frances, brought her endless smiles and a love that only grew stronger with each generation.

She is also lovingly remembered by her sisters—Chris, Eva, Marina, Frances, Elva, Diane, and Senida—whom she loved deeply and shared a lifelong bond with, along with many nieces and nephews who were blessed by her love.
Lupe had a spirit that could light up any room. She had a gift for making people feel welcome, seen, and cared for. Her laughter was contagious, her humor lifted heavy hearts, and her hugs brought comfort in a way words never could—they truly felt like home.

Her home was always open, filled with the smell of her delicious cooking and the sound of family gathered together. She found her happiness in those moments—watching her loved ones laugh, eat, and simply be together. Those are the memories that will live on forever.

Lupe also had a special spark when it came to WWE. She never missed a match and truly lived for those moments—cheering, reacting, and getting completely caught up in the excitement. It was something she loved to share with those around her, turning even an ordinary night into something fun and full of energy. Her passion for it was just another reflection of her lively spirit and the joy she brought into every room.

She found happiness in the little things—anything purple, her love for unicorns, and the simple moments that made life sweet. These small joys perfectly reflected her playful, warm, and loving heart.

Lupe's life was rooted in love—love she gave so freely and so completely. Though her absence leaves a deep ache, her presence will never truly be gone. It lives on in every memory, every laugh, every family gathering, and every heart she touched.

As we say goodbye, we hold onto the love she gave us so freely and the memories that will forever live in our hearts. Though we will miss her deeply, we find comfort in knowing her love surrounds us still—in every shared meal, every laugh, and every embrace.

Until we see her again, we carry her with us… in our hearts, in our homes, and in the way we love one another.

In honor of Lupe's vibrant spirit and the things she loved, the family warmly invites everyone attending to wear purple, unicorns, or WWE attire. .
