Oct 17, 1957 — Mar 6, 2026
Gloria Ontiveros Rodriguez, 68, of Dallas, Texas, passed away peacefully on March 6, 2026, at Methodist Dallas Medical Center. Gloria spent her life in Dallas, where she built a career, raised her family, and created many cherished memories with those she loved.
Gloria worked as an engineer for the City of Dallas for many years before retiring in 2011. She was known for her dedication to her work and the pride she took in serving her community.
Outside of her career, Gloria enjoyed simple pleasures that brought her joy. She loved playing scrabble, spending time playing solitaire on the computer, and most importantly, being surrounded by her family. Her family meant everything to her, and the time spent together was what she treasured most.
Gloria was preceded in death by her parents, Josefina Ontiveros and Jesus Ontiveros, and her sister, Mary Ramirez.
She is lovingly remembered by her children, Javier "Guero" Ontiveros, Monica Dennis, and Manuel Rodriguez Jr.; and her brothers, Robert Santos, Jesus "Jesse" Ontiveros, and Carlos "Carl" Ontiveros.
Gloria is also survived by her cherished grandchildren: Joey Garza, Monique Garza, Monae Garza, Lauren Ontiveros, Lea Ontiveros, Lexie Ontiveros, Madison Rodriguez, Breana Rosales, and Xavier Rosales; and her beloved great-grandchildren: Aaliyah Garza, Josiah Gonzalez, Jayden Gonzalez, Sebastian Rosales, Dallas Rosales, Beaux Tanguma-Barron, and Lani Rodriguez, along with many other family members and friends who will forever hold her memory in their hearts.
Though Gloria will be deeply missed, her family finds comfort in knowing she is now at peace.
