Glenn Ross Mash, 90, known also as Bubo, Daddy Bo, and Percy Babcock, a long-time resident of Irving, went home to be with his Lord on Sunday, April 2, 2023 at Baylor, Scott, and White Medical Center in McKinney. Born September 1, 1932 in Hillsboro, he was the son of the late Raymond Donnely Mash and Mary Moselle Lavender Mash. A graduate of Hillsboro High School, he also attended Hill Junior College. He married Doris Lynell Cypert October 8, 1949 in Hillsboro. Except for a brief time in Demopolis, Alabama in 1951, he grew up in Hillsboro and joined First Baptist Church there. He joined First Baptist Church in Irving in 1952. He was ordained as a Deacon there in 1970 and has served on many committees including the Finance Committee for many years, and taught Junior Boys Sunday School. He was always happiest when surrounded by Godly men and women in the church. An administrative assistant to Harry Ozonoff and Son, Importers of silver products for fifteen years, he retired in 1993.
Preceded in death by his parents; a brother Billy Ray Mash; and sister Gayle Elaine Mash Rose, he is survived by his wife of 73 years, Doris; two daughters, Lynell Mash Drury and husband Robert (Bob) Drury of McKinney, and Pamela Jean Mash Denton and husband Jobie Daniel Denton, Jr. of Krugerville, Texas; ten grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; one great-great granddaughter; and a sister Joy Nell Mash Holmes of South Carolina.
The family will receive friends 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 5, 2023 at First Baptist Church, 403 South Main Street in Irving. The funeral will be 11:00 a.m. in the Worship Center. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens, 1413 East Irving Blvd. in Irving. Memorials may be made to The God's Child Project,
