Gilberto T. Montemayor

July 12, 1939 - January 15, 2024

Gilberto was born on July 12th, 1939, to Tiburcia and Mauro Montemayor in General Zuazua, Nuevo Leon, Mexico. Gilberto Trevino Montemayor passed away from this life into the next on Monday January 15, 2024.

Gilberto had immigrated from Mexico as a young man working for the Railroad for several years, later he worked at Empco Sheet Metal Co. until he retired after many years of service. Gilberto was a very strong, and hardworking man. He was immensely proud of his heritage. He loved listening to Spanish music and often longed to visit his homeland. He loved his cars he was meticulous in the upkeep of anything that he drove. He instilled those same qualities into each of his children.

He will forever be in the hearts of his family and those who knew him well. He is preceded in death by his parents Mauro and Tiburcia Montemayor; an infant brother Gerardo, and sister Maria Elena. Gilberto is survived by his loving wife of 57 years Isabel Soliz Montemayor. His children Linda McCain and husband Kenny, Gerardo Montemayor, and wife Eda and Patricia Sandoval. Gilberto is survived by nine Grandchildren, twelve Great Grandchildren and one Great Great Grandchild. A sister Magda Villarreal, Monterey Mexico. Among those left to cherish his memory are nieces and nephews both here and in Mexico. Cousins and neighbors who loved him.

Visitation will be held at Jeter & Son Funeral Home, Dallas, Texas from 11:00 AM to 12:00 Noon, Friday, January 26, 2024 with a Funeral Service at 12:00 Noon. Graveside Service and Interment will follow at Laurel Land Memorial park, Dallas, Texas.
