Frank 'Bud' Estes Peery
February 19, 1947 - October 21, 2025
Frank grew up in north Texas where he went to public school and graduated from Kimball High School, Oak Cliff, Texas 1965.
After high school he enlisted in the United States Marine Corp where he served from August 1965 - August 1969. His service included two tours of duty in Vietnam 19666-1967.
When he completed his military duty he joined the sales staff at Dreyfuss & Son Clothing Stores in Dallas, Texas in 1969. He also worked doing deliveries from Kings Drug Store in Lewisville, Texas, 1969-1971, and then was employed with the warehouse of Houghton Mifflin Book Company in 1971.
Frank then began his long tern employment with Eli Lilly Pharmaceutical Distribution Center in 1974 in Addison, Texas, and then relocated to Manufacturing with Eli Lilly Pharmaceutical in Indianapolis, Indiana, 1987-2003. He then retired after many years with Lilly.
He enjoyed hobbies of collecting Sports Cards and Memorabilia.
Frank is preceded in death by his parents Francis Willard "Frenchy" and Mary Jane Estes Perry, sister Margaret Dianne Peery; and Birth-Mother Edna Ruth Montoya. Frank was adopted as an infant and he expressed the utmost gratitude to his birth family for placing him with adoptive parents who loved him unconditionally.
Frank is survived by his daughter, Jamie Lynn (Larry) Phillips of Mooresville, Indiana; grandchildren, Hunter Swift, Mya Swift, Addison Phillips, Tasha Robinson, Anita Phillips, and Austin Phillips; sister Carol (John) Carter of Highland Village, Texas; niece, Jill (Eric) Welke; nephew, Vance (Rosa) Carter; great nieces and nephews, Abby Welke, Jay (Angelina Welke, and Manny Carter; six great-grandchildren; and former wife, Betty Peery of Greenwood, Indiana.
He is also survived by Half-Sisters Brenda West of Ft. Worth, Texas, Pam Apricio of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and Michelle Montoya Jaramillo of Colorado Springs, Colorado; Half-Brothers Bill "Buddy" Smith of Moorpark, California and Danny Stingley or Ft. Worth, Texas; and many Nieces and Nephews.
Services :
A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, December 13, 2025, at 3:00 P.M., at Laurel Land Memorial Park. Please enter the cemetery through the Marseilles Gate and follow the route number that will be assigned for Frank and shown on the display board as you enter the gate.
