Ernest is survived by his wife Esperanza Villarreal of 64 years, sister Rosie Cardona,sister-in-law Theresa Villarreal, Brother and Sister-In-Law Eduardo and Ortensia Pena,son and daughter-in-law Mike and Kisty Villarreal, daughter-in-law Annette Villarreal, grandchildren Ernest Villarreal

III, Vanessa Villarreal, Alexis Villarreal, Sam and Kelsey Butler, and great-grandchildren Arianna Villarreal, Akoni Villarreal, and Delilah Villarreal.

He was preceded in death by his parents Leandro and Inez Villarreal, siblings Leandro, Inez, Joe, Ralph, and son Ernest Villarreal, Jr..

Ernest's nicknames were Neto and Big E. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother. Neto blessed us with his compassion, his God fearing nature, even temperament, and generous love. He never failed to make us laugh with his humorous jokes and tricks. His hobbies included drawing, drag racing, football, fishing, and the pleasure of enjoying his grandchildren and great-grandchildren in all aspects of their lives.
