Enrique Sanchez Saldana, 79, of Dallas, Texas, passed away peacefully on December 17, 2024, his birthday, surrounded by his loving family. Born in 1945 to Flora Saldana Garcia and Damian Sanchez, in Nuevo Laredo, Mexico. He lived a life defined by his love for the great outdoors, his unwavering dedication to his family, and his passion for the simple joys of life.
An avid fisherman, Enrique found peace and purpose on the water, whether casting a line on quiet mornings or teaching his sons and grandchildren the art of patience and appreciation for nature.
Above all, Enrique was a devoted family man. He treasured every moment with his loved ones, finding joy in simple pleasures like grilling in the backyard and sharing meals filled with laughter and love. His unwavering generosity, warm sense of humor, and gentle spirit made him a source of strength and inspiration for all who knew him.
Enrique is survived by his wife of 49 years, Juanita Sanchez; their three sons, Enrique Jr. (Ophelia), Ricardo (Krystle), and Jose Damian; seven cherished grandchildren; one great-grandson and 4 grand-pups. He is also survived by his sister, Yolanda Saldana Garcia, and many extended family members, as well as many close friends who will carry forward his legacy of love, laughter, and a deep appreciation for life's beauty.
Visitation will be held at Jeter & Son Funeral Home-Chapel, Dallas, Texas on Saturday, December 28, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM, with an open floor service at 5:30 PM.
