Edward (Leo) Flores

Edward “Leo” Flores was born on October 13, 1928, in Denver, Colorado, to Juan Flores and Maria Salas. The family later moved to Dallas, where Leo grew up, learned the meaning of hard work, and eventually met the love of his life.

On August 22, 2026, Leo went home to glory to be with his Lord and reunite with his beloved wife, Margaret. He was a man of faith and prayed for his family daily. He will be greatly missed and forever remembered for the legacy he leaves behind—one filled with family, stories, and nicknames that will echo for generations.

Leo is preceded in death by his wife of 72 years, Margaret Flores, his daughter Sandy Salmeron and his daughter in law Flora Flores.

He is survived by Leo Flores Jr. and his wife, Ninfa; Violanda Flores; Mary Cruz Flores; his son‑in‑law Leonard Salmeron; Johnny Flores; Andrew Flores; Lucy Barajas and her husband, Rocky; and Margaret Daugherty and her husband, Shane. The family includes 26 grandchildren, 47 great‑grandchildren, and 26 great‑great‑grandchildren who carry forward his legacy with love and pride.

Leo is also survived by family members: Eddie Flores and his wife, Dee; Jimmy Flores and his wife, Tina; Maria Caswell and her husband, John; Robert Flores and his wife, Denise; and Jerry Flores and his wife, Robbie. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren, 30 great‑grandchildren, and 9 great‑great‑grandchildren. In addition, he is survived by his brother Richard Flores and his wife, Linda.

Leo’s life was a testament to perseverance, faith, and family. His legacy continues in every generation that follows.
