Gonzalez
Feb 9, 1945 — Oct 8, 2023
Edith Rodriguez Gonzalez
February 9th, 1945 - October 8th, 2023
Edith Rodriguez Gonzalez passed peacefully from this life to eternal
life on October 8th, 2023. She was a beloved wife, mother,
grandmother, and friend. In her early life, she was raised in
Colombia by her mother and father, whom she loved very much.
She worked hard at her studies to eventually become a teacher and
principal at a few local schools where she left a legacy of love for all
who worked with her and learned from her. She consistently
exhibited a passion for education and cared for her students
tremendously.
Edith went on to meet the love of her life, Victor Gonzalez, when
walking with her mother at the mall. When she laid eyes on her
beloved future husband, she told her mother that he would be the
man she would marry. Edith and Victor spent fifty-six beautiful
years together and happily raised three children named Victor,
Claudia and Roberto. They inculcated the importance of desiring
faith and treasuring the gift of family in their children.
Edith's Christian faith was an essential part of her life. Her
dedication to prayer and her love of the Christ and the Virgin Mary
was an example to all that surrounded her. She spent the majority
of her adult life praying the rosary daily and was convinced in the
Virgin Mary's continual intercession for her. She was a pilar of joy
and service for her family and friends. Edith spent most of her life
giving her time to serve others. She moved from her home country
of Colombia to help take care of her grandchildren and consistently
gave her time and money to help others. She understood that taking
care of others with charity is the greatest gift one can give.
She is survived by her husband, three children, and six grandchildren.
In her final moments, her love for God and desire for heaven was evident as she stated that she desired to be with Him for eternity.
Edith y Victor
pasaron juntos cincuenta y seis hermosos años y criaron juntos a
tres hijos llamados Victor, Claudia y Roberto.
eternidad.
