86 years young, Dorothy went to be with the Lord on October 14, 2022. She was born on January 10, 1936 to Loula Agnes Kayle and Earnest Wolfe, Sr. in Olive Branch, Mississippi.
Dorothy was a seamstress for most of her career and did private home interior decorating. She was a Christian and loved the Lord. Her greatest joy were her children and grandchildren. She was a patriot who loved our country and was active in the DVA Women's Auxiliary. She was a volunteer at the VA Hospital for over thirty years. Dorothy enjoyed working in her yard, crocheting , reading, crossword puzzles, and traveling.
Dorothy was preceded in death by: her husband Troy Gilbert; parents: Agnes Kyle Wolfe and Earnest Wolfe, Sr.; brothers: Earnest Wolfe, Jr., and James Wolfe; sister: Ruth Wilson; son, Dennis Turner; and grandson, Joshua Turner. She is survived by: daughters: Dolores Smith and her husband Nathan Smith of Campbell, Texas and Karen Nordyke and her husband Kim Nordyke of Sequim, Washington; son: Joseph Turner, Jr. of Hickory Flatts, Mississippi ; daughter- in-law: Barbara Turner of Temecula, California; honorary daughter: Cecilia Luna; brother: Robert Wolfe and his wife Patsy Wolfe of Forney, Texas; eight grandchildren: Sharon Williams, Shannon Taylor, Aaron Turner, Jeremy Turner, Stefanie Velekei, Michael Turner, Kameron Nordyke, and Garrett Nordyke; fifteen great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild, many nieces and nephews
She will be missed by her family and friends yet today we celebrate her earning her wings.
Visitation will began at 8:00AM, Tuesday, October 25th with a funeral service at 9:00 am at Jeter and Son Funeral Home, Dallas, Texas. A committal service will follow at Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery.
