Donna Lee Lengel Gersten was born July 22, 1949 in Burlington, Colorado to Virginia Marie Boden and Galen Eugene Lengel. She died on April 17, 2024.

She married Gene Gersten on December 28, 1973 in Burlington Colorado. They were blessed to raise a son and a daughter, of which they were so proud. They moved to Texas from Illinois in 1976.

She earned a Bachelor degree from University of Northern Colorado and two Masters Degrees in Educational Counseling and Diagnostician. She worked in public education for 33 years and taught 7 years at Northlake Community College. Donna enjoyed her profession and loved the students.

Donna Loved the LORD and was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church. Her main focus was always her family and the love she felt for them. She loved to sing, deeply loving her choirs.

Donna loved her family fiercely, and she enjoyed spending time working in her garden & quilting. She always hosted the most beautiful dinners for holidays & get togethers. She enjoyed traveling to spend time with her grandchildren and never missed any important moment in their lives.

Donna is survived by her husband Gene, of 50 years. She leaves behind her children Brad (Kristi) Gersten and Amanda Stanley (Chris Frazier), and three beautiful grand children: Olivia and Berkley Gersten and Halen Stanley
