Dolores "Lolita" Herrera
March 26, 1939 – December 28, 2024
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Dolores "Lolita" Herrera, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and aunt. Dolores passed away peacefully on December 28, 2024, at the age of 85.
Born on March 26, 1939, Dolores was the daughter of Carlos Rodriguez and Guadalupe Rodriguez. She was a devoted wife to her loving husband Arturo Herrera Sr. for 58 years and a dedicated mother to her three children: Arturo Herrera Jr., Oscar Herrera, and Lupe Herrera. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren who were her pride and joy.
Dolores was a woman of strength, grace, and unwavering love. A true lady in every sense, she raised her children with admirable principles and values, instilling in them the importance of kindness, respect, and hard work. Dolores was known for her generous spirit, always ready to help friends in need and watching out for the well-being of her neighbors.
For many years, Dolores lovingly cared for preschool children, nurturing their growth and development with the same care she gave to her own family. Her home was a place of warmth, love, and the aroma of delicious meals she lovingly prepared for her family. An avid seamstress and skilled in needlework, Dolores took pride in creating beautiful pieces with her hands. She also enjoyed growing roses in her backyard, a reflection of her nurturing nature.
But above all, Dolores' greatest passion was her family. She cherished her role as a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, and her love for them was immeasurable.
Dolores will be dearly missed, but her legacy of love, kindness, and selflessness will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
