Dina Darlene Islas

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Dina Darlene Islas on March 3, 2025. Dina was deeply cherished by her family, friends, and community. She lived a life full of love, kindness, and unwavering devotion to those she held dear.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Rachel Gomez and Johnny Gomez Sr..

Dina's greatest joy was her family. She shared a beautiful life with her faithful and loving husband, Manuel Islas Jr., and treasured every moment with her daughter, Melanie Islas-Goodman and son-in-law, John Goodman Sr. Her grandchildren—Delilah Darlene Goodman, Daphne Goodman, and John Goodman Jr.—were the light of her life, bringing her endless happiness. She leaves behind her caring brother Johnny C. Gomez, Jr., loving nieces and nephews, beloved brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, many cherished cousins, , and countless friends.

Dina's warmth, generosity, and loving spirit touched the lives of many. She will be remembered for the joy she brought to those around her and the love she so freely gave. Though she is no longer with us, her spirit will remain in the hearts of her family and friends forever.

Visitation will be from 2:00 - 5:00PM Sunday, March 9, 2025, at

Jeter & Son Chapel, 4830 W. Illinois Ave, Dallas, Texas.

A funeral service will be 11:00AM Monday, March 10, 2025.

Burial to follow at Laurel Land Cemetery.
