David Cowart Bundrick

Born June 15, 1928 in Dallas, Texas
Parents: David William Bundrick and Daisy Odette (Cowart) Bundrick
Went to be with the Lord on August 27, 2024 in Cedar Hill, Texas
Graduated from Adamson High School in 1945 and subsequently from SMU with a degree in Geology

Spouse: Lou Bundrick, married June 9, 2007. Met and married in Dallas, Texas.
Work History: Sold life insurance and annuities to government (city/county) employees and first responders and was a member of the million-dollar round table of agents with Fidelity Union Life. He also had his own agency called David Bundrick and Associates and owned/managed several local rental properties and a group of storage units in Texas City. He was a true entrepreneur and enjoyed being his own boss.


Military Service: Served in the US Air Force, stationed in Canton, OH as a recruiter and trainer of spotters for potential enemy aircraft. He was honorably discharged from active duty in 1955 as a First Lieutenant.


Hobbies and Interests: Loved traveling, water sports, golf, tennis and dancing, but most of all he loved spending time with the Lord and reading his bible every night


Personality Traits: Loving husband and father, a great father-figure and friend to many, a wonderful Christian, a kind soul, patient and understanding, a good sense of humor, and full of life and fun

Preceded in death by his beloved wife of 50 years, Margaret Alice (Corder) Bundrick; his parents David William Bundrick and Daisy Odette (Cowart) Bundrick; his sister, Mary Ruth Roberts; and his nephew Mark Corder.


Survived by his loving wife Lou Bundrick; his daughter Sherrill Lynn Orcutt and husband Alan W. Orcutt; his son David William Bundrick and wife Sandy Bundrick;  his stepchildren: Debra Foster and husband Charlie Foster, Mike Craig and wife Donna Craig, and Danny Craig and wife Dana Craig; his grandchildren: Charity Nicole (Nikki) Bomer and husband Rodney Bomer, Alan David Orcutt and wife Hunter Mitchell Orcutt, Victoria Faith Upton and husband Joseph (Joey) Jack Upton, Ashley Bundrick and Gunnar Bundrick; his step grandchildren:  Dana Elsom and husband Josh Elsom and family, David Craig and wife Kristi Craig and family, Jeremy Craig and wife Katrina Craig and family, Debra Hoyer and husband Ken Hoyer and family, Ryan Sanders and wife Erica Sanders and family, Justin Craig and wife Erica Craig and family; his great grandchildren: Hailey Nicole Harwell, Ethan Lane Harwell, Brooklyn Mitchell Orcutt, and Levi Grace Upton; his nieces and nephews:  Stephen (Monty) Roberts and wife Melisa Roberts, Kenneth Roberts and wife Nina Roberts and family, Mary Ann Boswell and family, Stephen Corder and wife Berta Corder and family, Timothy Corder and wife Becky Corder and family, Paul Corder and wife Patricia Corder and family, Tammy Corder, Kelly Corder, Esther Sladchik and husband Gary and family, Anna Corder, and Rebekah Corder
