Daniel M. Rangel, 56, passed away on October 22, 2026, in Dallas, Texas. He was born on July 30, 1970, in Dallas to Lidia Galvan and Joe Rangel.

A devoted Dallas Cowboys fan, Daniel enjoyed cheering on his team, listening to music, and gathering with family and friends for cookouts. He treasured time spent with those he loved, creating memories through laughter, conversation, and the simple joy of being together.Daniel was preceded in death by his father, Joe Rangel, in 2007; and his brothers, David Rangel, in 2009, and Anthony Rangel, in 2013.

He is survived by his mother, Lidia Galvan; son, Daniel Rangel Jr.; daughter, Angela Rangel; stepsister, Joanna Rangel, affectionately known as “Sister”; and grandchildren, David Ray Rangel, Eliana Kassandra Hernandez, and Ricardo Fredrick Hernandez. He also leaves behind his niece and nephew, Dragnia Guerrero and Waylon Guerrero; additional family members, Agapito Trillo, Ester Mojica, Margaret Perez, and Jose Rangel Jr.; and other relatives and friends who will cherish his memory.

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 30, 2026, from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Jeter & Son Funeral Home. The funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m., with a graveside service and interment to follow at Oak Grove Cemetery in Irving, Texas.

Daniel will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by his family and friends.
