Consuelo De La Cerda

July 17, 1944 - December 21, 2024

Consuelo De la Cerda was born in Del Rio, Texas, on July 17, 1944, to Maria Garza and Maximo Alaniz. She met Esteban De la Cerda in Reynosa, MX, and married him in 1963. Consuelo dedicated many years to her work as a cook for DISD. She found joy in watching her novelas and cherished her time with family and friends. Known for her infectious laughter, Consuelo had a special way of bringing joy to those around her.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Esteban De la Cerda, and her son, Esteban De la Cerda Jr. Consuelo is survived by her daughter, Marisol Arriazola, and her grandchildren, Joe Islas Jr., Raymond Islas, Richard Islas, Stephany Mendiola, Jennifer Arriazola, and Crystal Arriazola, as well as 16 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held at Jeter & Son and Funeral Home, Dallas, Texas on Saturday, December 28, 2024, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am with a funeral service at 11:00 am. Graveside service & interment will follow at Oak Grove Memorial gardens, Irving, Texas.
