Christine Valdez departed this world peacefully on November 15, 2023, at her home in Garland, Texas. Christine was born to Juan P. Villarreal and Maria D. Montemayor in Ennis, Texas on January 18, 1966, where she grew up amongst her siblings and many relatives. She graduated from Ennis High School in 1986.
She was a beloved mother known for her bubbly personality, lively spirit, and captivating smile. Christine knew how to weave laughter into every interaction, making her a joy to be around. She had a passion for property and food retail management where her strong work ethic was matched only by her willingness to assist others, making her an invaluable team member. She loved spending quality time with her children and grandchildren which included watching movies, thrifting, cooking, listening to music, and dining out. Her shared interests with her children allowed for a special bond creating irreplaceable memories. Christine's devotion to family, especially her mother and special needs sister was not just spoken; it was felt in every action, a testament to the depth of her affection and commitment to those she held dear. She was a devout Christian deeply rooted in faith, and she displayed an unwavering love for her church. She took pleasure in gaining knowledge from the word of God and sharing the gospel with her family helping them to understand their need for His divine presence. Her commitment was palpable, attending services with a fervent spirit and actively contributing to the spiritual community, reflecting a profound and steadfast relationship with her Father.
Christine is survived by her mother; Maria D. Montemayor, her children; Lisa Jimenez, Juan Hernandez, Erica Hernandez, and Maria Hernandez all of Dallas, 8 beautiful grandchildren, her siblings; Sylvia V. Wood and Jacquie V. Snelders of Ennis, Juan Villarreal Jr. of Dallas, Doris V. Vargas of Garland, Jason Valdez of Ennis, Clarissa Villarreal and Alizia Antunez of Richardson, and many nieces and nephews who cherished her wholeheartedly.
Pallbearers: Juan Hernandez, Gregory Vargas, Nathan Berumen, Mateo Antunez, Aiden Jimenez, Ebin Jimenez, Adrian Mendoza and Noah Hernandez.
Visitation will begin at 10:30AM with a funeral service at 11:00AM on
Saturday, November 25, 2023, at
Jeter & Son Chapel, 4830 W. Illinois Ave, Dallas, Texas.
Burial will follow at Grady Cemetery in Ennis, Texas.
