In Loving Memory of Christine Potts
Christine Potts was born on November 25, 1947, in Logansport, Louisiana, to the late Purvis Turner and Lue Ollie Brown. She peacefully departed this life on August 22, 2026, in Rockwall, Texas.
Christine graduated from Turner High School in Carthage, Texas. She continued her education at Panola College, where she pursued her nursing degree while also nurturing her passion for fashion design.
Christine dedicated much of her professional life to caring for others through her nursing career, spending the majority of her years of service at Medical City Dallas. Her compassion, dedication, and caring spirit touched the lives of many people throughout her career.
Beyond her work, Christine was a talented and creative woman who loved sewing and creating beautiful things. She enjoyed making clothes, draperies, and bedding. She also found great joy in cooking, singing, dancing, and listening to music. Above all, Christine treasured spending quality time with her family and friends. Those moments of love, laughter, and togetherness will remain cherished memories for all who knew her.
Christine leaves to cherish her memory her loving children: Gene Potts (wife, Landrell Potts), Eric Tatum (wife, Kim Tatum), Charity Potts, Rita Potts, and Sunny Bee (husband, Marcus Bee).
She also leaves a beautiful legacy through her grandchildren: Wonisha Tatum, Michael Johnson, Ardarius McCollister, Victoria Potts, Chance Williams, Dante Bee, and Summer Bee, along with extended family, friends, and all whose lives she touched.
Christine was preceded in death by her parents, Purvis Turner and Lue Ollie Brown; her siblings, Lue Vera Turner, Mattie Lee Stevenson, Jesse D. Stevenson, Henry Earl Brown, and Alberta Allison; and her nephews, Lonterio Allison, Kendrick Allison, and Larry Allison, Jr..
Christine's memory will forever live on in the hearts of her family and friends. Her love, strength, creativity, laughter, and caring spirit will never be forgotten. Though she is no longer with us in body, the love she gave and the memories she created will continue to live on through the generations she leaves behind.
