Christine Ortiz was born on May 7, 1966 to parents of Antulio and Lupe Barraza in Muleshoe, Texas. She was raised as a child along side her younger brother Anthony in a small farming community, Bovina, Texas until the age of 12. She spent the majority of her life in Grand Prairie, Texas.
She eventually met and married Joshua Ortiz, and together they brought two beautiful children into this world, Joshua Renee and Alyssa Marie Ortiz.
As an adult she worked various jobs, but illness retired her to being a stay-at-home mom and eventually a stay-at-home grandmother. That is where her impact on those she raised had the greatest affect.
She always enjoyed being glammed up by her personal stylist (her son), and she enjoyed spending time with family. Family was something she held close to her heart. It showed every day in the way she loved. She loved to cook, especially during the holidays. She enjoyed Bible study and her faith in Christ never wavered.
Christine died on December 17, at JPS Hospital in Fort Worth, Texas. She is now with her father in heaven. A reunion so wonderful that no words can describe. Her beautiful life will forever be cherished, and her amazing spirit will forever be embodied by those she loved so dearly.
Christine's memories will continue to live on through her mother and brother, her children and grandchildren, her nieces and nephews, and through every other person who had the privilege of being a part of her extraordinary life. Though Christine will be missed dearly, her amazing life will forever be celebrated.
Viewing and Ceremony for our beloved Christine Ortiz will be held on December 29, 2022 at 2pm. Location of service will be at Jeter and Son Funeral Home.
