Charles B. James

November 19, 1927 – December 14, 2022

Charles B. James was born on November 19, 1927, in Meridian, Mississippi to William C. James and Anne May (Benefiel) James. He was the fourth of five children. Charles joined the Airforce in 1949 and served in the Korean war. He met his wife Marion Hickey in Chicago, while in basic training and they were married on December 31, 1949, in Chicago.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Marion James, his four siblings and his son in law Jimmy Busby. He is survived by his three children: son, Ron James and wife Nancy, daughter, Robin Poehler, and husband Ken Davis, daughter Rhonda Busby. Charles had 8 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.

Charles James was a devoted member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church and a charter member of the DeSoto Seventh-day Adventist Church.

Charles was dearly loved by his family, his church family and will be greatly missed.
