Jewona Elizabeth "Betty" Welker

Jewona Elizabeth "Betty" was born in Lakeland, FL on June 11, 1931 and went to be with the Lord on June 14, 2024. She was a loving faithful follower of the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.  She was a member of Calvary Temple in Irving, TX for 31 years. She taught the children in Sunday school for a few years. She was a lifelong homemaker.

Her favorite hobby was working in the yard and garden with her husband.  Betty and Thomas were married for 51 years and lived in Irving, TX.  They bought their home 61 years ago. They had 5 children.

She is survived by her daughters, Jewona S. Bankston and husband Sammy, Janet M. Welker and Rachael A. Wilson, Jeana E. Goodwin and husband Elvin. 8 Grandchildren and 19 Great Grandchildren

Proceeded in death by Thomas Welker, sons Clyde T. Welker, Ronald Jay Welker and Grandson Jayson G. Welker.

Family visitation will be 10:30-11:30am on Tuesday at the funeral home and Services will be 11:30-12:30pm Tuesday, June 25, 2024 officiated by Pastor Gary Page at Jeter & Son Funeral Home.

Interment will follow at the D/FW National Cemetery.
