Obituary

Betty Lou Crutchfield was born March 7, 1946 to Walter Stanley and Dortha Christine McCann, in Lewisville, TX, where she grew up and was a Fighting Farmer.  She worked for Texas Instruments for 37 years and retired, then went to RTI and worked with them for 20 years.  She lived a long and joyous life surrounded by many loved ones.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her sister Patsy, her brothers-in-law Billy (Doc), Jim and James, Sr., and her dog Sassy Ann.

She is survived by her dog Rudy, son Roy Allen Crutchfield (Annette), granddaughter Layci Allen and great grandson Jessie James; daughter Gina Teafatiller (Tommy), granddaughter Alexis Ann Rimmer (Dequalyn) and great granddaughter Amari Elaine, grandson Bradon Wayne; her daughter-in-love Melissa Crutchfield, extra grandkids Dyllion and Jhaden, great grandkids Camilla and John V; sisters Shirley Hix, Kay Dockins and Frances Norman (Clint).

After the passing of her sister Patsy, Betty took in and raised her nephew Steven Kyle and niece Natalie Michelle as her own.  She also had many other nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews that loved her dearly.

Betty was known to most of us as Mom or Nana.  She had a heart of gold and would do anything for anyone, and she never met a stranger, showing love to all.  She would give you the shirt off her back, or the last bit of food from her table.  She raised many kids as her own and would do it without thinking twice.  Her family was her whole world; especially her grandkids.

As Betty would always say, "I'm feeling fair to partly cloudy", but now it's time for me to spread my wings and fly.  Don't cry as I'll always be by your side.
