Benita Gonzalez

May 19, 1948 - March 23, 2024

Benita was born on May 19, 1948 in Dallas, Texas to her parents Isaac Padilla and Elvira Espitia.  She passed away on March 23, 2024 at Las Brisas Rehabilitation Facility in Irving, Texas.

She worked her whole live as a seamstress at Julian Noa & Quiltcraft.  She loved too watch horror movies, listen to oldies music & work her crossword puzzles.  She also loved attending bingo.  Growing up she attended Saint Mary's of Carmel Catholic Church and then attended church at Las Brisas Facility.  She will be remembered for her stubbornness, strong-will and believing she was never wrong.  She would be best described though for her strong-will, loving spirit, and being outspoken.

She is preceded in death at the age of 75, by her parents: Isaac Padilla and Elvira Espitia; Brother Henry Padilla, Sister Mary Ethridge, Son Delfino Esparza, and daughter Sarah Trevino.

She is survived by: brothers: Pedro Padilla, Isaac Padilla Jr., and Anthony Padilla; her sisters: Geneva Ojeda and Rosemary Padilla; sons: Julian Jose Padilla, Paul Padilla, and Oscar Esparza Jr.; her 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

She will be greatly missed by everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.

Visitation will be at Jeter and Son Funeral Home Chapel from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM, on Thursday, March 28, 2024. Funeral Service will be at 11:30 AM, Friday, March 29, 2024, at the funeral home. Graveside service and interment will follow at Southland Memorial Park.
