It is with deep sorrow that the family of Arturo Vargas Ybarra, 66, announces his passing on May 12, 2025, at his home in Dallas, Texas. Born on April 17, 1959, in Dallas, Arturo was a proud lifelong resident of Oak Cliff, deeply connected to his family and community.

Arturo is preceded in death by his father Birginio Ybarra, his mother Mary Louisa Vargas Ybarra, his brothers Edward Ybarra and Fred Ybarra, and his sister Sara Gomez. He is survived by his ex-wife and caretaker, Sonia Pahcheka Ybarra, and their three sons: Arthur and Christopher Ybarra, and Keith Pahcheka. He also leaves behind his daughters-in-law Susan Ybarra, Leticia Rangel and Melesa Pahcheka. Arturo's legacy lives on in his beloved grandchildren: Christina, Leah, AJ, Aubrey, Charlie, Aria, Lyla, Ariel, Jayden, Joshua, and Kailey, and his loyal dog Bud. He is also survived by his siblings: Carlos Ybarra, Virginia Reina, Albert Ybarra, Raymond Ybarra, Ramiro Ybarra, and Baldemar Ybarra, along with many cherished cousins, nieces, nephews, and countless friends.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, May 15, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Jeter & Son Funeral Home, located at 4830 West Illinois Avenue, Dallas, Texas 75211. The funeral service will take place on Friday, May 16, 2025, at 10:00 AM at the same chapel.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made to your favorite charity in Arturo's memory.

Arturo's spirit will forever live in the hearts of all who knew him. His love, laughter, and wisdom will be deeply missed, but never forgotten.
