Albert David
Hendricks
Nov 8, 1956 — Mar 22, 2026
Albert David Hendricks of Dallas, Texas went to be with Jesus Christ on March 22, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. David was born on November 8, 1956 in Oak Cliff where he was a proud resident his entire life. David graduated from Adamson High School and The University of Texas at Arlington where he earned a bachelor's degree in finance and political science, which led to a career in commercial banking.
David met his wife of 42 years, Angela, in 1984 and they married soon after. He was faithful to read scripture and was most recently a member of Tyler Street Church since 2010. As a young man he proudly reached the achievement of Eagle Scout and was active in the Scouting world for many years. His interests included classic Corvettes, motorcycles, thrifting, and hunting. You could often find him at Jakes Burgers or checking out the deals at the local Salvation Army and pawn shops. His favorite day of the week was Taco Bueno's Taco Tuesday where he'd enjoy tacos and Dr. Pepper. He loved camping with his family and was proud to instill in his children a love of bird hunting which led to many memorable trips together. He hunted in various places including South Dakota and Córdoba, Argentina.
He spent many weekends at various gun clubs shooting skeet, notably at the Grand Prairie Gun Club where he volunteered as Range Master for many years. David will be remembered by many as a loyal friend and 'a son of good report'.
He was preceded in death by his parents Albert Davis and Mary Helen Hendricks, and uncles Charles, Elmer, and Jesse Hendricks. He is survived by his wife, Angela; his daughter, Laura and husband Thomas MacPherson; his son, Michael and wife Emily Hendricks; his grandchildren, Mary Helen MacPherson and Gray and Georgia Hendricks.
In lieu of flowers, David's family requests that contributions be made to an organization meaningful to them: Men of Nehemiah (menofnehemiah.org).
