Agapito Mendoza

March 27, 1972 - September 9, 2025

Agapito E. Mendoza "Pito", a beloved husband, father, son, grandson, brother, nephew, cousin, uncle, and friend, left this world peacefully on September 9, 2025, at the age of 53. Born on March 27, 1972, in Carrizo Springs, TX.

He was a man of great kindness, boundless generosity, and infectious humor. Valued hard work, honesty, and the value of a man's word. To his children, he was loving but fair.

He is survived by his loving wife Veronica Mendoza of 16 years, his children Agapito Robert Mendoza, Alicia Marie Mendoza, Andrew Nicholas Mendoza, Chris Ramirez, PJ (Cindy) Ramirez, Abel Ramirez, 10 grandchildren, his mother; Juanita Mendoza, siblings; Richard, Anita, Yolanda, Manuel, Francisco, and countless numbers of nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his father Manuel Mendoza and his brother Alberto Mendoza.

Pito had a few passions and darts extended far beyond the game itself. He was a familiar face in the local & National level of dart leagues, known for a killer throw and fierce sportsmanship to match. A masterful poker player, Pito was respected for his strategy and the ability to read a room, but more than winning, he cherished the conversation and friendship that came with every hand. To all his fellow players, he was more than a competitor; he was a companion and a true friend. He was also Dallas Cowboys' biggest fan. Loved dancing, his most joyful expression was on the dance floor dancing away with Veronica as if the spotlight was shining on them only.

Agapito's memory will remain in the hearts of his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. He will be greatly missed but never forgotten.
